Termed as barbacoa is Spanish, barbecue grill was first used by the Arawak people in the pre-colonial times. This was first made of a wooden structure where the meat is roasted on top of it.

Barbecuing has always been a tradition in different parts of the world as it is fun and mouth-watering, you can also make this a time to bond with your family and friends. Electric grills could sometimes not be used because of scarcity of power in the wilderness, and so it is not indicated for all camping activities and places. Most especially if you are the adventurous type, the disadvantage of electric camping grill is that it won't be of use to very secluded places and terrains such as virgin forests and unfamiliar camps. Gas grills

Usually fueled by propane or natural gas, this is the most common alternative for electric camping grills. It uses its gas-fuel to directly heat the food. These are available in various sizes and designs as they can also be customized depending on the camper's preferences and needs. Gas grills are quite cheaper too compared with electric grills and they can be bought in any merchandise shops and online stores.

Infrared grills

This is a new innovation in the camping cooking equipment as it is an excellent alternative for electric camping grills. It also uses propane gas to conduct heat to a ceramic plate that is used to heat or cook food. It cooks faster since it is the best among other grills when it comes to conducting heat faster and it evenly distributes heat within the plate so your food is cooked accordingly.

Charcoal grills

It uses all-natural lump or charcoal briquettes and when burned, transforms into an amber of heat radiating within the grill to naturally cook your food. This is the cheapest and easiest way for campers to cook food because of the type of fuel use and the installation process takes a shorter period of time. Some would prefer this type of camping grill since they've tried and tested that charcoal grills bring out the natural taste of the food being prepared making it more delicious and sumptuous.
